Here is what you should expect when working with us and the steps needed for the process:
  1. Initial free in home-consultation with a Before Construction Inc representative who will inspect the home to determine what needs to be done in order to achieve your desired project.
  2. Securing a contract according to your requested scope of work.
  3. 1-3 business days following contract approval, our architect will arrive at your home for roughly 1 hour (depending on the scope of work) After walking through your home and discussing the scope of work, full meaurements of your property and home (depending on the scope of work)will be taken.

    *These drawings are called as-built measurements: your home in its current state.
  4. 5-7 business days following our architects visit, a proposed layout will be provided by us displaying the new layout created according to the specifications you provided. These drawings either become the final plan or modifications are made per your input and new drawings are provided.
  5. Upon receiving a final approval from you, the sketch is translated to full size architectural plans. Our architect will continue with further details necessary to bring your plans to their relevant city requirements.
  6. Structural and Engineering calculations are prepared if the project requires it
  7. We than submit the complete set of plans to the city for plan check. We take care of the whole permitting process so you don’t have to deal with the city. This includes picking up corrections, resubmitting, dealing directly with the city engineers and pulling the permits when the city approves the plans.
